Welcome to 6 Central Literacy and Social Studies!!
In Literacy this year:
This year in 6th grade Literacy we will explore our world and ourselves through literature and composition. Students will work in writing workshops to learn to better construct and articulate their ideas through composition, and will explore literature through both shared and independent readings.
In Social Studies this year:

This year we will explore historical and current events through "lenses" of cultural respect, empathy/perspective-taking, civics/government, primary sources, and media literacy. We will practice civil discourse, and work to become informed global citizens.
