I am passionate about education, equity and problem solving.  My goals are to help every student and educator not to fear failure.  Let’s try, try and try again until we get it figured out. I am proud to combine private sector experience with my passion for education.  My past experiences include sales, community education in healthcare, and customer service, which taught me to truly see people who they are. Over the past 15 years, I have worked my way through the educational system, beginning as a teachers’ assistant with Special School District, and a literacy and a world history teacher with Parkway School District.  All of these experiences have led me to administration, where my goal is to empower and inspire students and educators to be empathetic problem solvers.

My priority as a school leader is to empower student and teacher voice. I believe in supporting educators to provide authentic learning opportunities for students to think critically and problem solve around real world issues. Equity drives my work and I believe it is our duty to meet every student and family where they are and support their individual success in fulfilling the Clayton Profile of a Graduate. I began my career in education as a high school Spanish teacher in North Carolina and became curious about how school leaders create opportunities for authentic student voice within their schools, which led me to graduate school in Wisconsin. For the last 15 years, I have sought to empower opportunities for student voice, working as an administrator in an alternative high school, a bilingual elementary school, and most recently at Brittany Woods Middle in University City before coming to Wydown Middle in 2023.
