• 2024-2025 Classroom Procedures

Procedures are rules that should be followed in order for us to have a smooth functioning classroom.  Procedures help us to know how we do things while we’re in class.

    Supplies You’ll Need Everyday

    1.   Planner
    2.   Chromebook
    3.   Independent reading book/class novel (Lit)
    4.  Paper notebook and pen/pencil (SS)

What do I do once I’m in the classroom?

    1.   Begin class by writing down the homework in your planner, and getting your supplies ready.
    2.    Check in with Mrs. K, so you are marked "present" and "on-time" for class.
    3.   Work on any "warm-up" activity that is posted for the day

Heading your paper:  All of your typed documents should have the appropriate heading in the top left-hand corner.

    • Name (first & last)
    • Date
    • Class Period

Turning in work: I will not grade work that has not been "turned in" on Google Classroom.  Make sure to complete this last step when submitting an assignment to be graded.

Assignments and Missing/Late Work:  Your goal should be to turn in 100% of your assignments.  They should be completed to the best of your ability and turned in on time.  You are welcome to stay after school or make an appointment during Pack time on most days to receive additional help.  Staying organized with your planner will help you be successful throughout the day.

If your homework is incomplete or missing:

You will need to meet with me that day during office hours to discuss the missing work and how you can make it up.

    Classroom Expectations:

    • Be kind to one another.
    • Listen respectfully and use appropriate communication skills, not interrupting or talking over your teacher or peers.
    • Be an engaged participant! Participate both verbally and non-verbally during class

    1. Be Accountable
    • Come to class prepared with your materials and ready to learn.
    • You are responsible for getting any assignments and handouts missed during your absence. It is important to meet all deadlines and keep up with your assignments to be successful in class.
    • Check Google Classroom often regarding assignments, resources, and extra activities to further your learning at home and outside the class.
    •  Keep your phone in your backpack during both literacy and SS class.
