¡Hola Familias!

I am so excited to teach Spanish with the District of Clayton! While I am new to the district, this is my 7th year teaching in public school education. I taught English in art and computer classes for 1 year at an elementary school in Galica, Spain. The last 5 years, I have been teaching Spanish at a middle school for gifted students here in St. Louis. Additionally, I have coached tennis and track and field for 2 years. This year I will be working with 5th graders at Glenridge and 7th and 8th graders at Wydown.

I strive to build language fluency in listening, reading, writing, and speaking so that your students can engage with people and their culture directly. At the same time we will develop language accuracy through explicit grammar instruction so that students are ready for continued academic study.
