Ms. Tarita Rhimes
It is my PASSION to serve and protect...students, teachers, and parents. Hello, my name is Tarita Rhimes and I am the Assistant Principal here at Wydown Middle School. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Middle school education with a minor in Computer Science. I also have a Master's and Educational Specialist degrees in Educational Administration. I am currently pursuing my Doctoral Degree in Educational Administration.
I am originally from Milwaukee, WI where I taught for three years, then I moved to Louisiana where I taught for two years, and my final move to Missouri where I taught for five years. Through my teaching experiences, I have had the opportunity to teach first through fifth grades. In my last position, I served as a teacher leader in my building as well as the "tech support" for all testing software as well as a facilitator for technology and STEM professional developments.
As a lifelong educator who recognizes the many and diverse learning styles of students and teachers, I will ensure that I will provide and support professional development opportunities that enable everyone to build on their knowledge of the whole child.
