Beginning Band
Beginning Band Handbook Information
The beginning band class that is offered to 7th graders is designed for those students who missed signing up for their 6th grade year or have moved into the district and would like to be in band. The class is a semester long and then their schedules switch in January to 7th grade band and they can join their classmates in full ensemble for the remainder of the year.

WMS Jazz Band Information
The Jazz Band meets at zero hour on Tuesday and Friday mornings. We meet from 7:30-8:15 am. During the school year we perform at concerts, The Sheldon, travel to jazz festivals, and play in our cafeteria "Main Street" to help keep the calmness and coolness for the year going. Our jazz kids love performing and we will never turn down a gig. Teachers are welcome to play with us during our "Jazz in Main Street" days at Wydown and sit next to their favorite musicians to support our group. We have a lot of fun and you cannot forget about "Doughnut Day". During the week we set some high standards and some great goals. When we achieve all of our goals, we treat ourselves to a "Doughnut Day" on Fridays. Stop in any time for jazz. All are always welcome!
