School Improvement Plan (SIP) Planning and WorkThe primary structure framing the District’s ongoing improvement efforts is the School Improvement Plan (SIP). This model encompasses inquiry, study and decision-making that result in the establishment of long-range improvement goals. These goals set the direction for the District emphasis for five years. The goals are intended to have measurable outcomes so that growth and change can be monitored and verified.
On an annual basis, the SIP is revisited to review progress made and determine next steps. These steps are the basis for the formation of annual objectives and action plans at the District and individual school level (SIP). This annual planning at the school level will determine the professional learning at each building and involves the staff in planning instructional and professional development actions.Click Gear to Return to Map
