• Action Research

Inquiry-based practice and collaborative research are based on the assumption that school improvement is most effectively promoted from within the school environment.  Teachers sometimes conduct classroom-based action research both in support of and separate from their PLC work to study effects of new instructional strategies on student learning.  This can grow out of graduate study work, the career review process, lab classroom, the work of their PLC, content/department/grade level problem solving, or student study team.  Action research follows the same cycle of Plan-Do-Revise as our PLCs and involves the teachers sharing their findings with their colleagues.
