About Ms. Miller
I am a graduate of the Clayton School District and very excited to have returned home. I graduated from Northwestern University with B.S. in Education and Social Studies. Before coming to Clayton, I taught in the Hazelwood School District. I am a big fan of using primary sources in the classroom and participated in a Teaching American History Grant, so expect the class to be turned into a history laboratory on a frequent basis! I also have my Master's from University of Missouri-Columbia in English Education with a concentration in Journalism Education through their online program. I have completed additional hours in history and education through Webster University and University of Missouri-Columbia. I am working on my doctorate from Antioch University.I have also completed the Lab Classroom program through Clayton. I am a graduate of the Adaptive Schools Training program through EdPlus. I have also completed the Cognitive Coaching training and Marzano's Reflective Teacher program.
I am looking forward to getting to know you this year and having numerous wonderful discussions as well as time for you to get to know me on a personal basis!
As a side note, my family is really really important to me. I have three older brothers and lots of family in the district. I love to spend time working out at the Center of Clayton, reading, writing, bike riding, gardening, and Forest Park.
