    Description of School: 

    Named after the Miami Tribe, Miami University is a public research institution founded in 1809 and located in the quintessential college town of Oxford, Ohio (9,000 citizens). Miami is a medium/large school enrolling just over 17,000 undergraduate students and 2,500 graduate students and offers roughly 100 undergraduate majors with an emphasis on the liberal arts curriculum. Miami students are required to live on campus the first 2 years of study and are involved in over 600 student organizations.
