Description of School:The University of Kentucky is a large, public research institution located in Lexington, KY and is a five-hour drive from St. Louis. Lexington is the second largest city in Kentucky, so students experience the resources of a large city but with a small-town feel. UK is one of eight universities in the nation with Engineering, Law, Agriculture, Medicine, and Pharmacy on one contiguous campus. UK College of Pharmacy is ranked 5th in the nation and our campus is home to the world’s largest academic pharmaceutical building. We have invested over $2.3 billion into our campus over the past 6 years, including a $120 million Academic Science Center, $200 million dollar Student Center, $65 million dollar addition/renovation to College of Business and Economics, $32 million academic support and dining facility, $20 million Honors College, $20 million Studio Art & Visual Studies Center, $1.5 million dollar Starbucks - largest of any college campus in the nation, 14 multi-million-dollar luxury residence halls, and much more!
