Website Migration Update: Transition to FinalSite
This December, the District’s website will transition from its current platform to FinalSite. As part of this migration, individual teacher websites, as well as pages for athletic teams, clubs and student activities, will no longer be supported on the new platform. To ensure a smooth transition, current administrators of these pages—including teachers with personal websites hosted on the current Blackboard platform—are encouraged to begin creating a Google Site or Google Doc to share essential information moving forward.
Staff are encouraged to utilize the resources provided on this page to begin building their new sites ahead of the migration.
Important Dates- Oct. 3: The current ClaytonSchools.net website will be placed in lockdown mode. After this date, direct edits to website content will no longer be possible. If you need to request updates to your page after Oct. 3, please submit a request to Communications using this form. Requests will be processed within five (5) business days in the order they are received.
- Dec. 17: The new ClaytonSchools.net website will launch. After this date, any content not added to the new site will no longer be accessible.
Resources
While there are many ways to create a site or document, Communications has assembled resources to help users build a Google Site or Google Doc. In addition to this support, the District's Education Technology Specialists are available to assist teachers and staff with specific questions. Regardless of the approach you choose, it's important to follow best practices for consistency, functionality and accessibility.
