• 2025 BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATE FILING NOTICE

    Filing for the Board of Education Election will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024 at 8 a.m. and continue through Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024 at 5 p.m. Two directors will be elected to regular three-year terms (April 2025 through April 2028) and one director will be elected to a one-year term (April 2025 through April 2026). When filing to run for the board, you must indicate whether you are filing for one of the three-year terms or the one-year term.

     

    Candidates must file in person at the St Louis County Board of Elections Commission located at 725 Northwest Plaza, St Ann, MO 63074. No filing will occur at the district office. The Board of Elections office is open during the filing period from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on the last day of filing, when the office is open until 5:00 p.m. The St Louis County Board of Elections office will be closed on December 25, Saturdays, Sundays, and may close due to inclement weather. 

     

    The ballot placement for all candidates who file on the first day of candidate filing will be determined by random drawing. Candidates filing after December 10th will be placed on the ballot in the order of filing. Candidates filing on the last day should arrive by 4 p.m. to make sure the filing process is completed by the 5 p.m. deadline.

     

    Candidates must be citizens of the United States, residents of the State of Missouri and the School District of Clayton for  a minimum of one year preceding the election, and at least 24 years of age.
