    Agendas and Minutes

Agendas are developed to facilitate the work of the Board and to inform the public on what issues the Board will be discussing at meetings. Prior to each meeting, a tentative agenda is available on BoardDocs, the District’s e-governance website. Paper copies of the agenda are available at the Board meetings. Materials for meetings which are not working drafts or are non-confidential under the Sunshine Law will be available online via BoardDocs on the Monday prior to each meeting.

The official Minutes, highlights and audio recordings of the past Board meetings are available to the public online on BoardDocs once they are approved by the Board.

    Closed Sessions (Executive Session)

The Board meets in closed sessions to discuss matters related to personnel, confidential student matters, legal issues, real estate or other items as designated by state statute. These sessions are usually held immediately before or after regular meetings. The bulk of issues that come before the Board are discussed in public session. The results of any action taken by the Board during a closed session may be made public with 72 hours of any vote.

    Openness and Transparency in Government

Board and District business is conducted to adhere to the mandates and provisions of Missouri’s open meetings act, otherwise know as the Sunshine Law. Meetings, records, votes, actions and deliberations of the Board are open to the public, or available as a matter of public record, unless otherwise provided by law.
