• Oasis_tutoring_logo Make a Difference in the Life of a Child. Become an Oasis Tutor!

The School District of Clayton is proud to partner with Oasis, a national education organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults age 50 and older through lifelong learning and service. Clayton and Oasis team up to serve Clayton students through a variety of programs and services.

The School District of Clayton is seeking volunteers to work with children in our schools, kindergarten through third grade. Oasis tutors work with students to strengthen reading, writing and language skills. Volunteers spend 30 minutes or more a week during the school day working one-on-one with a student. All materials are provided. Volunteers select the school and day that they would like to tutor.

    • Informational Meeting: Stop by the District's Admin. Center (#2 Mark Twain Circle) on Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, from 9-10 a.m. to learn more about the Oasis tutoring program. At the meeting, enjoy a cup of coffee, get answers to commonly asked questions and meet with current Oasis tutors. Please contact Stephanie Mullee at (314) 854-6038 to register to attend.

    • Mandatory New Tutor Training: There are two sessions of new tutor training. Both sessions are mandatory. Session I is online and can be watched at your convenience on your personal computer.
