MER Garden Club Receives Public Health Have A Plant™ Promoter Award
Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) is delighted to announce that Meramec Elementary School Garden Club is a recipient of the Public Health Have A Plant™ Promoter Award.
"I am so proud of these students and their efforts," said Caren Etling, RN, Meramec School Nurse and Co-Leader of the Garden Club. "They have been the only school to receive this award and this is their third time doing it!"
PBH is pleased to acknowledge and celebrate the Garden Club's support of the Have A Plant™ movement, along with their efforts to increase fruit and vegetable consumption during the upcoming PBH Awards & Recognition Luncheon on April 16th.
"Last week, the Garden Club students also met all the components for their Junior Master Gardener Certification," added Etling. "They were presented with their certificates and were just beaming with joy. I am so honored to be able to support them in these activities."
We are proud of these students’ efforts to increase fruit and vegetable consumption and generating awareness to the overall health benefits.
