Kindergarteners at Meramec celebrated the Year of the Rat to honor the Chinese New Year with a parade in the gym.

Many smiles, laughs and an overall good time was had by all - parents, teachers and students alike.

Even during the fun, the students didn't miss a single educational beat that surrounded this event. They learned about the festivities this holiday involves and the traditions that are considered most important to the Chinese New Year celebration.
