MER Students begin the READ, RIGHT, RUN Challenge

On Jan. 8, students across the St. Louis area started the “Read, Right, Run” challenge. Students must read 26 books, complete 26 good deeds for their community and run 26.2 miles by Mar. 28. Go! St. Louis®, a local non-profit organization, created this challenge in 2001. Over 100,000 students have participated since.

The final day of this challenge will include a mini-marathon hosted at Forest Park. Elementary students from kindergarten to fifth grade will have the option to run one or two miles to finish their challenge on a strong note.

Students can work on this project independently outside of school, but Meramec Elementary has set up optional meetings for students to gather and share their progress. The meetings will be held in the gym. Dates and times are listed below:

January 8 - 7:30 a.m.
January 22 - 7:30 a.m.
