Five-time Coretta Scott King Literary Award winner Sharon Draper visited Captain Elementary on Tuesday, Oct. 23, to speak with Captain and Glenridge Elementary students in the upper grades. During her presentation, the author shared her writing process with students, fielded questions from the audience and read from her new middle-grade book, Blended.
