Family Center Enjoys Musical Visit from CHS Students
Family Center students in the Kid Zone before- and after-school program spent their afternoon on Thursday, April 6, taking part in a fun and engaging collaboration with members of Clayton High School’s Tri-M Chapter of the National Music Honor Society. Spending time one-on-one with the high school musicians, the Family Center students learned about different instruments and instrument families. They also tried their hand at playing the different instruments, including the marimba, trumpet, cello, viola, guitar, flute and clarinet.

Following the instrument “show and tell,” the CHS students performed a recital of solos and duets for their preschool audience. Along with his classmates, Family Center student William thoroughly enjoyed the visit. “I love listening to music!” he said. “I want it to start again!”
