• Latin II Syllabus

    Salvete ad Latinam II! This course is a continuation of Latin I and serves as the second year for beginning students. It may be appropriate for 9th graders who have taken two years of middle-school Latin. Students will continue their study of the Latin language as well as the history and culture of the Roman Empire and those affected by the Romans. Students will learn to comprehend both written and spoken Latin, to read Latin aloud correctly, and to express themselves in written and spoken Latin. The course requires regular homework, class participation, oral, and written quizzes, unit tests, and various projects for cultural enrichment. The course will utilize authentic texts and video recourses, along with the textbook, Lingua Latina Per Se Illustrata
