In this course, students will deepen their understanding of the Spanish-speaking world by exploring a variety of authentic materials including articles, podcasts, short films, excerpts of literary texts, and audio sources. Students will work with authentic materials from Latin America and Spain that represent the cultural diversity of the Spanish-speaking world. They will engage in a variety of activities designed to increase their proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In addition, this course includes a comprehensive grammar review, which prepares students to express their original ideas with greater linguistic complexity. This course is taught entirely in Spanish and is designed to prepare students for further advanced study of the language, cultures, and history of the Spanish-speaking world. This course is highly recommended for students who intend to take AP Spanish Language and Cultures.
