    Email Blasts
    When you use:
    • Communicate very specific events (Not as frequent as you might expect)
    • Target your audience and make personal when possible
    • Always try to link flyers or details back to a website link as oppose to attachments and lengthy emails
    Who you contact:  Use the PTO toolkit
     
    What is the lead-time: Email should be sent one day prior unless otherwise arranged

     
     
    District's E-News Articles 
    When you use:
    • Highlight upcoming events
    • Announce successful events and Thank You’s
    • Photos
    Who you contact: Use the PTO toolkit
     
    What is the lead-time: E-News goes out every other Friday during the school year. The deadline for articles is the Wednesday before each edition.

    Your school's Electronic monthly newsletter
    When you use:
    • Highlight upcoming events
    • Announce successful events and Thank You’s
    • Photos
    Who you contact: Use the PTO toolkit
     
    What is the lead-time: Newsletters go out monthly during the school year. Deadlines for articles will be different at each school.

    Facebook (if your school has an active Facebook Page)
    When you use:
    • To highlight upcoming events and general information
    • Be mindful of privacy settings and photo permissions
    Who you contact: Your PTO communications volunteer or the PTO toolkit

    What is the lead-time: You should give your volunteer a couple of days to get this posted, or you might have the ability to communicate directly.
