Meramec Elementary School

Meramec Elementary School fosters character development by using an integrated approach to encourage student responsibility.  The character education program creates a positive climate with the central goal of ensuring student achievement.  Teachers, counselor, family groups, support staff members, and administrator capitalize on the teachable moment by matching student needs with the core values of cooperation, kindness, respect, responsibility, and safety.  These values are infused into the curriculum and highlighted during the year through various publications like the Current, grade level newsletters, and teacher communications between school and home.  We consistently emphasize the ongoing, developmental application of our core values - the Meramec 5.
