Hello! My name is Crystal Chodes-Squibb, but my kiddos, as I like to call my students, will just call me Mrs. Squibb. I love education, and I am so excited to be teaching at Meramec. This is my second year teaching in Clayton. Prior to Clayton, I taught in Springfield Public Schools in grades 3rd - 5th for eleven years. I graduated from CSUS with a degree in Communication Studies. I had a journalism scholarship, and I thought I wanted to be a reporter. I worked in nonprofits and fundraising for organizations like the Sacramento Children’s Home and Basketball Town. However, I wasn’t fulfilled and I longed to become a teacher. In 2009, I received another scholarship for my teaching credential at CSUS. I graduated in 2010, and moved to Missouri to begin my teaching career. In 2016, I completed my MS.Ed in Educational Administration. I plan to eventually earn my doctorate. It’s never too late to keep learning.
My husband, Lee Squibb, is also joining Clayton to teach P.E. at Wydown Middle School. We have a daughter, Kira, and a son, Zachary. We also have two fur babies named Phoebe and Poppie. I enjoy reading, gardening, and watching basketball.
