IN THE ART ROOM NOWCHECK HERE NOW AND THEN TO TAKE A PEEK INTO THE GLENRIDGE ART ROOM LEARNING ACTIVITIES, ANTICS AND SHENANIGANS!EXPLORING MATERIALS/ MAKING MARKSArtists explore their materials to learn what kinds of marks they can make.Students are encouraged in this exploration to discover new ways of using their materials and making marks.

* Managing the art work created by 376 students requires efficient storage routines and practices.
*Learning to take care of our art work, putting our names on our pieces, where and how to store it at the end of class takes practice.
*Identifying labels are made for placemats and folders.
*We learn how to care for art materials and how to distribute them.
*We learn the expectations and routines that make our work together efficient and thoughtful.Whole School ART explorations
Sept. 2011 All grade levels engaged in exploring the Ancient cave images of Europe learning that art has been around for a very, very, long time. The cave images are evidence that art existed before the written word! Check back soon for student created images inspired by these ancient cave paintings.
