Hello, my name is Gwen Kennerly and I am the Spanish instructor at Glenridge Elementary School. I have been teaching Spanish at the elementary level since 1993 and have been at Glenridge since 2001. I earned my BA at SLU and I hold a Master's degree in the field of Communications with an emphasis in Spanish from Webster University. I continue to enjoy opportunities to improve my practice in the areas of second language acquisition. In addition to my role as Spanish teacher at Glenridge I also serve as the Clayton School Distric World Languages coordinator.I am a native to St. Louis and live in South City with my husband Ed and my daughter Isla. I love gardening, crafting and cooking. I am so excited to get to know the first grade students and new Glenridge students and I look forward to an exciting year of fun with Spanish with all students.I recommend that you ask your son/daughter what they are learning in Spanish on a weekly basis. Please feel free to contact me at the web address or phone number below if you have questions. On this website you will find a curriculum overview for grades 1st-5th, resources for language acquisiition and Hispanic culture as well as some of the songs we sing in class.Contact Information:(314)854-6211Follow us on Instagam at:holaglenridgeCon cada lengua que se extingue se borra una imagen del hombre.
