8:30-8:40 Children enter the classroom and complete morning routines

8:40-8:50 Opening:  pledge, announcements and Morning Meeting: Greet, Share, Activity, Morning Message

8:50-9:50 Writing Workshop:  Oral story telling, shared and interactive writing, mini lesson, independent writing, and end with a share                   

(On a D Day  ART- 8:50 to 9:50)  

9:50- 10:15 Movement/ Brain Break/Snack

10:15-10:30 Read Aloud

10:30- 11:00 Reading Workshop- Shared reading, mini lesson, independent reading, guided reading, partner reading, and end with a share 

11:00 - 11:20 Recess on the Playground
11:20 - 11:40 Lunch in the Cafeteria

11:40 - 12:00  Phonics- Heggerty, phonics lesson, word work

12:00 - 12:20 Read Aloud/Quiet Time

12:20  -  1:20 Calendar/ Math: Lessons around the calendar, weather, counting, and patterns- Math lessons and centers (hands on activities/games in response to the lesson) 

 
1:25 - 2:25   Specials   A Day     PE        Music
