• This will be my ninth year at Captain Elementary, and I am thrilled to begin working with this new third-grade class. I have taught fifth grade, fourth grade, first and second grades.

I earned my BS in Elementary Education from Eastern New Mexico University, and I am certified in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Reading. I have a Master's in Reading from Webster University, and I have my Reading Specialist Certification from Webster. Currently, I'm taking graduate classes to complete my Gifted Certification. I'm originally from Rio Rancho, NM, northwest of Albuquerque, but I call St. Louis home.

My wife and I have two beautiful girls, Emily is 8 and Amelia is 6. We like to take the girls on hikes in Wildwood and ride our bikes around our neighborhood in Chesterfield. This summer we traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC and Albuquerque, NM to visit family and friends. I enjoy cycling around St. Louis (especially on Grant's Trail and the Katy Trail), reading, playing my guitar, and playing tennis with my wife. I also enjoy going to Vintage Vinyl playing records on my many vintage turntables. Also, our classroom has an awesome turntable from the 1970s that we use often!

I am honored to teach third grade at Captain, and I'm excited to begin working with your students! This is going to be a great year!
