It is with great excitement that I am joining the Captain community!  I believe in the lasting and positive effects a strong education has on a student. My passion for influencing young lives has grown with each passing year, and I grow more committed to the similar philosophies that the best institutions share: that the encouragement of creativity, respect, accountability, and open-mindedness are fostered in a nurturing, diverse, and safe environment. I come with 11 years of experience. I began my teaching career as a first grade teacher in the Hazelwood School District while I earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Mizzou’s Fellow Program. I have spent the last ten years at McKelvey Elementary School in the Parkway School District. I have experience in third and fourth grades and have recently returned back to primary where I spent the last two years teaching first grade. My love for children shows in everything I do and I am fully committed to enriching the lives of my students through their academic, social, and emotional growth!
