Second-Grade Spanish Learning Objectives
Self
Students will:
- expand upon family vocabulary learned in first grade.
- talk about and describe their own families.
- learn to talk about their health.
- identify external body parts.
- practice talking about aches and ailments.
My Surroundings
Students will:
- learn and practice the Spanish alphabet.
- learn school supply and classroom vocabulary.
- learn to express needs within a classroom setting.
- learn the rooms of a house and give information in Spanish regarding which family member is in each part of the house.
The Larger Community
Students will:
- learn to say numbers in Spanish 0-100.
- learn about Mexico. The foci include geography, ancient cultures and legends, food, art and animals.
- express food preferences, talk about where places in Mexico are in relation to the US.
