Coach Kelvin Carter is a native of Meridian, MS and a graduate of Alcorn State University, Lindenwood University (Masters), and Webster University (EDS). For the past 24 years, Kelvin has been an Influencer and Coach in the St. Louis Basketball Community, Workforce Development and as a Professional Educator. Currently, he serves as the Stride Learning Program Manager. Coach Carter has cultivated multiple relationships with higher educational institutions as well as industry partners to provide the students of the Saint Louis Metro Area and beyond with access to real and relevant educational options.

This is my 4th year coaching boys basketball at CHS, and my second year as the program's "swing coach", helping in a number of roles at all levels. In addition, I teach 8th grade social studies in St. Louis Public Schools. This spring I was married to my loving wife, Katherine, and this coming January we are expecting our first child! I am very excited to be a part of this reformed program that is committed to fostering the growth of our athlete's abilities, sportsmanship, and character.
