The Globe and CLAMO are CSPA Crown Finalists
The CLAMO yearbook and the Globe Newsmagazine of Clayton High School have been nominated for the Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s (CSPA) 2022 Crown Awards. The Crown Awards reward student publications that are members of CSPA for their overall excellence. The top competitors will receive the Gold Crown and the rest will receive the Silver Crown. The recognition is based on the 2021 CLAMO yearbook and the 2020-2021 set of Globe Newsmagazines.
In the past, the Globe Newsmagazine won the Gold Crown Award in their category in 2012, 2013 and 2019. The CLAMO yearbook won the Gold Crown in their category in 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2003.
Globe editors for the 2020-2021 school year were: Angela Xiao, Sofia Erlin and Shane LaGesse.
CLAMO main editors for the 2020-2021 school year were: Cavan Helmering, Annie Xiao, and Amy Ma.
Marci Pieper serves as the adviser for the CLAMO yearbook and Erin Sucher-O’Grady serves as the adviser for the Globe Newsmagazine and the Globe online. Final results of this national competition will be announced at the CSPA Spring Convention in March.
