District to Host End-of-Year Parades for Students
CHS Senior Parade
District parents, staff and community members are invited to come celebrate our seniors on what would have been their graduation day. CHS seniors will be participating in a parade at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 28. The parade will travel from CHS to Gay Field, following the same route that is used for the Homecoming Parade. Put on your favorite blue and orange gear (and practice appropriate social distancing) as you line the parade route to celebrate the Class of 2020.
Promotion Parades
The District is also planning to celebrate the important transitions our fifth and eighth graders are making this year. Students and their parents will be parading by their schools to mark the end of their school year and celebrate the next big step they are taking in their educational journey. All are welcome to stand along the parade route (and practice appropriate social distancing) to cheer on and congratulate these amazing students. Here are the details:
- May 26: Wydown Eighth Grade Parade at 6 p.m - parade route
- May 28: Glenridge Fifth Grade Parade at 9 a.m. - parade route
- May 28: Captain Fifth Grade Parade at 10:30 a.m. - parade route
- May 28: Meramec Fifth Grade Parade at 12 p.m. - parade route
Wydown "Cheer You On" Parade
On May 26 from 6 - 7:30 p.m., the Wydown teachers and community will line Wydown Blvd. starting in front of school and heading East toward Skinker. We welcome our eighth grade families to come anytime during that 90 minute period, there is no specific starting point or time. Please drive down Wydown starting from Big Bend and allow us to cheer you on to high school.
