The Board of Education approved revisions to the 2022-2023 school calendar and a calendar for the 2023-2024 school year at their meeting on March 31. A committee of parents and staff worked to review feedback and make the recommended revisions to the 2022-2023 calendar, which are also reflected in the 2023-2024 calendar. One of the biggest revisions to the calendar, based on the feedback we received, is the reduction of Early Release Days from seven to two. By restructuring how we allocate professional learning time, we were able to add a full day of professional learning in October to offset the professional learning that would have been scheduled on Early Release Days. This change also provides a four-day weekend (kind of a Fall Break) for students and families in October.
