Drew Spiegel Selected as Assistant Principal at Clayton High School
Drew Spiegel has been selected to serve as assistant principal at Clayton High School starting in the 2023-2024 school year. He currently serves as an assistant principal at Fort Zumwalt North High School.
“We are looking forward to having Drew back in Clayton,” explained CHS Principal Dr. Dan Gutchewsky. “His familiarity with our CHS community, combined with his experience as an assistant principal, will allow him to hit the ground running and do great things for our students and staff. ”
Spiegel has worked for the past 14 years in the Fort Zumwalt School District. He taught high school science for seven years at Fort Zumwalt West High School before becoming an assistant principal at Zumwalt North, a position he has held since 2016. He is no stranger to Clayton, having done his student teaching at CHS and worked as a science teacher and interim director at SummerQuest from 2009 through 2016. Spiegel holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Arts in Education from Truman State University and an Educational Specialist degree in School Administration from Lindenwood University.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the students, staff and families of Clayton High School,” explained Spiegel. “I look forward to getting to know and working with all students on their journey to become lifelong learners."
