BOE Candidate Filing Opens December 6

Filing for the Board of Education Election opens on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at 8 a.m. and will continue through Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at 5 p.m. Three directors will be elected to regular three-year terms in the election to be held on April 4, 2023. Candidates must file in person at the School District of Clayton Administrative Center located at #2 Mark Twain Circle.

The regular terms of BOE Vice President Gary Pierson and Treasurer Kim Hurst will expire in April 2023. The one-year term of Director Jason Growe also expires in April 2023. Growe was elected to complete the last year of a three-year term (originally held by David Gulick) in April 2022.

Ballot order for all candidates who file by 5 p.m. on Dec. 6 will be determined by random drawing. Candidates filing after Dec. 6 will be placed on the ballot in the order of filing. The Board of Education office is open during the filing period from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on the first and last day of filing, and will be closed on Dec. 22, 23 and 26, 2022, Saturdays, Sundays, any day the District is closed due to inclement weather.
