Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council Seeking New High School Members
MYAC, the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council, is an initiative by the Mayor of the City of Clayton to introduce high school juniors and seniors to the inner workings of local government.
Clayton students involved in MYAC meet once a month and get one-on-one experience with the Mayor of Clayton, are given an overview of Clayton government, take tours of various City Departments and complete a community service project.
To apply to MYAC, students must be entering their junior or senior year of high school and must either be attending CHS or be a resident of Clayton. Twelve students are chosen each year to be part of this Advisory Council.
MYAC is also supported through volunteers including a CHS teacher who serves as a Faculty Advisor as well as a Community Advisor who is a resident of the City of Clayton.
