Dr. Regina Moore Appointed Clayton High School Assistant Principal

image The School District of Clayton is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Regina Moore as Clayton High School Assistant Principal beginning with the 2019-2020 school year. Moore replaces Dr. Ryan Luhning, who is leaving at the end of the year to serve as principal of Valley Park High School.


“I am so excited and humbled to begin a new chapter in my career with Clayton High School,” explained Moore. “I am eager to apply my leadership skills and working knowledge of students to enhance the educational experience of all students from all backgrounds and look forward to working with the students, staff, District personnel, as well as the community, to build upon the academic excellence at CHS."


Moore has served as an assistant principal in the Hazelwood School District for the past two years after working for two years as an assistant principal/counselor in the Normandy School Collaborative. Prior to moving to St. Louis, Moore served as a principal, assistant principal and counselor for a total of 10 years in the Liberty Union High School District and the Fairfield Unified School District, both in California. She holds a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Maryville University and Master of Science in Counseling and Student Services with a Pupil Personnel Specialist Credential from Fresno State University.


“I am very excited to have Dr. Moore join the CHS administrative team,” said CHS Principal Dr. Dan Gutchewsky. “Her commitment to students and families is evident in all of her work in a variety of settings. Dr. Moore’s wealth of experience will help us examine our work with a new lens to make Clayton High School an even better place for our students.”


Moore officially begins her tenure at CHS on July 1, 2019.
