DESE Releases 2017 APR Scores

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has released the Annual Performance Report (APR) scores for schools and districts across the state. The School District of Clayton earned 138 out of a possible 140 points for a score of 98.6 percent on its 2017 APR. This overall score is comprised of scores for each of the Missouri School Improvement Program - Fifth Version (MSIP 5) performance standards:

  • Academic Achievement
  • Subgroup Achievement
  • College and Career Readiness
  • Attendance Rate
  • Graduation Rate

The District's APR is used by MSIP 5 to assess a district’s performance and determine accreditation. DESE uses status, progress and growth measures of each performance standard to calculate a comprehensive score, which helps the State Board of Education determine the accreditation level of a school district. Under MSIP 5, the State calculated most districts’ accreditation levels in 2015. The School District of Clayton remains fully accredited by the State of Missouri.
