Save the date for the Fourth Annual Celebration of Black Achievement on Monday, Feb. 23, at Clayton High School, bringing together students, staff, alumni and community members to honor the achievements and lasting contributions of Black alumni. Held in recognition of Black History Month, the annual event highlights the District’s commitment to celebrating excellence, amplifying alumni voices and inspiring current students through representation and connection.
Hosted by Clayton High School’s Black Student Union, this event will honor CHS alumni Alexandra Butler (’01) and Jordan Bond (’03), who will share how education, innovation and determination helped shape their paths to meaningful career success. Come hear their stories, celebrate the accomplishments of current Clayton students and experience moving performances that uplift and unite our community.

Black Alumni Spotlight
Alexandra Butler (’01) is a celebrity makeup artist, creative director and entrepreneur whose career bridges engineering and beauty. After graduating from CHS, she earned a degree in industrial engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and now applies that analytical precision and artistic vision across print, film, television, fashion and live events. Based in Atlanta, she continues to lead with innovation and mentorship, inspiring others through creativity grounded in purpose, skill and excellence.
Jordan Bond (’03) has built a career rooted in leadership, service and innovation. A University of Missouri graduate, former Mizzou football walk-on and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. member, he spent eight years with BNSF Railway, earned a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Loyola University Chicago and was named Big Brother of the Year by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Chicago. Today, he is the founder of FITKONNEKT Gym in Chicago, a tech-enabled fitness and real estate entrepreneur, and a proud father of three.
