Angela Caracciolo named Director of Teaching and Learning

Angela Caracciolo, EdD - Director of Teaching and Learning

The Board of Education has approved the hiring of Angela Caracciolo, EdD, as the District’s next Director of Teaching and Learning for the 2026–27 school year.

In this role, Dr. Caracciolo will lead professional learning for staff, mentor new teachers, support curriculum development and implementation and oversee assessment practices across the District. She will also work closely with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning to support the development and monitoring of the District’s Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) and other school improvement goals, all aimed at advancing student growth and strengthening instructional practices.

Dr. Caracciolo joined the District in 2008 as a math teacher. For the past decade, she has served as the District’s K–12 math curriculum coordinator, helping shape and strengthen mathematics instruction across all grade levels. Most recently, she was selected to serve as the 2026 Director of the K–12 Summer Academy.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Clayton community in this role and to continue working alongside our educators, staff, leaders and families to support meaningful growth for every student,” she said. “By building strong relationships and taking a thoughtful, systems-based approach, we will continue strengthening teaching, learning and leadership across the District.”

Dr. Caracciolo holds a Doctorate in Education and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University, a master’s degree in Mathematics Education from Webster University and a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Dayton.

She succeeds Robyn Haug, who has accepted a new administrative role outside the District.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Caracciolo on her new position.
