¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español!  My name is Mrs. Guzmán. This is my first year teaching in the Clayton School District, but I have been in the profession for over 20 years.  I began my teaching career in the Ferguson-Florissant School District as both a Spanish and ESOL teacher, and have not regretted it since. I am super excited to get to know each and every one of you.  I know you will all be successful as long as you are ready and willing to work hard and have fun.

I have a strong background in both language and teaching.  I earned my BSEd with an emphasis in teaching Spanish from the University of Missouri-Columbia and my MAT with an emphasis in TESOL from Washington University.  I am currently working to complete my second Masters in Communication Arts with a focus in reading from Webster University. For the past six years, I have lived in Queretaro, Mexico where I founded an Early Childhood Center.  In my free time, I love to be with my family. My sons, Andres and Diego, attend Kirkwood H.S. This year, I will be teaching 7th and 8th grade Spanish in the morning at Wydown, then will move on to the high school to teach two Spanish I classes in the afternoon.
