Business and Finance

The School District of Clayton continues to earn top marks for financial management, receiving the highest rating in its FY25 independent audit and maintaining its AAA rating from Standard & Poor’s—an honor shared by only three other Missouri school districts.

The Office of Business and Finance is responsible for managing the District's Financial Operations. These activities include: development of the District budget; accounting and financial reporting; payroll; employee benefits; facility operations and improvements; school lunch programs; workmen's compensation; property and liability claims and tuition/tax credit billing.

Monthly Financial Reports

According to Board Policy DI - Public Information on Finances, the Superintendent or designee shall make publicly available, either by maintaining on the District's website or by direct link to the DESE website, information detailing the actual income, expenditures and disbursements of the district for the current calendar or fiscal year. The Superintendent or designee shall update this information at least quarterly. The information shall be searchable, accessible and retained for a minimum of ten years in accordance with law.
