Oasis Tutoring

The School District of Clayton places tutors at the start of each school year. Informational meetings and mandatory new tutor training sessions are held prior to the beginning of the school year.

• Tutors select the school and time they want to tutor.
• Tutors work with the same student all year for half an hour each week during the school day.
• Tutors participate in tutor training in September.
• Tutors receive all materials plus continuing support from the School District of Clayton.

Mandatory New Tutor Training

There are two mandatory sessions of new tutor training. Session I is online and can be watched at your convenience on your personal computer. If you do not have internet access, email Aleya Price or call 314.854.6019 to set up a time to complete the Session I training at the District's Administrative Center prior to the Session II training. Session II is an in-person training and will be scheduled prior to the beginning of the school year. Please note, Oasis requires all new tutors to complete new tutor training.

Meetings are held in the boardroom at the School District of Clayton’s Administrative Center (#2 Mark Twain Circle), with the exception of our end-of-year luncheon, which is held at the Center of Clayton (50 Gay Ave.).
