Glenridge Elementary Project

Glenridge is the most complex of the Prop O projects, given the scope of work involved—including permitting, demolition, renovation and new construction. To minimize disruptions to student learning and avoid mid-year transitions, the school will relocate to a Bridge Campus for two academic years (2027–28 and 2028–29). 

Although construction is estimated to take  18 months, the additional time will provide continuity of instruction for students while allowing teachers to move into their new spaces, get set up and be fully prepared to welcome students to the new building ahead of Glenridge’s 100th anniversary.

Feedback is an important part of the design process. The Design Team is currently working with key stakeholders to gather input that will help inform the Construction Documents phase. User group meetings began on April 9, with additional meetings scheduled for May 13 and 14. Updates from these meetings and next steps will be shared as the plans progress.

Bridge Campus Planning Update - June 3, 2026

To ensure uninterrupted learning during construction at Glenridge Elementary, the District is exploring the development of a temporary Bridge Campus. While plans are still being evaluated and no final decisions have been made, the leading option under consideration is the former Fontbonne University campus now owned by Washington University.

The District is working with Mobile Modular to develop potential site plans for the Bridge Campus. Although the design is still in progress and subject to change, the current concept resembles the layout shown in the graphic below.
