Board of Education

The School District of Clayton Board of Education has seven members; two elected annually for three-year terms; and three elected every third year for three-year terms. School board elections are held each year in April.

To strengthen community engagement, the Board also appoints a student representative to advocate for student interests. This representative attends Board meetings, sits at the table, and actively shares input, asks questions and voices peer concerns.

The Clayton Board of Education usually meets twice per month. Unless otherwise noted, regular Board meetings are held on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the Board Room on the lower level of the Administrative Center, #2 Mark Twain Circle. Meeting dates, times and locations are subject to change.

Regular session meetings are open to the public. District residents and patrons are encouraged to attend. Please note that all board meetings can be viewed on our YouTube channel.  Current agendas can be viewed on our Diligent/ Community page
