• Upcoming PAC.ED Events

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the following events:

    • Inclusive Family Fest - The Center of Clayton is hosting an Inclusive Family Fest on Sunday, April 8, from 2-5 p.m. This free event will feature games, snacks, open swim, open gym, facility tours and demonstrations of The Center’s summer camps and year round programs. All programs and activities are open to everyone and every ability! View the flier.

    • City of Clayton – STARS Program – The City of Clayton fire department has initiated this program in coordination with SSM.  They really need to get the word out to all Clayton families of children with disabilities to consider enrollment.  Nobody wants to have an emergency event, but when it happens this kind of information can really help make their response as successful and comfortable as possible for individuals with disabilities and their families. See the attached letter to residence. Learn more.

    • Respite Hours Available! (UCP Heartland) -  It is not too late! UCP Heartland has extra respite hours available for allocation to new and existing families in the program. These hours MUST to be used prior to June 30.  Even if you already receive respite funding from another agency, you can receive funding from multiple agencies.  Parents/Guardians can receive up to 504 hours each fiscal year for each qualifying child. Agencies need to use these hours up each year otherwise their hours allocated to them by the PLB (Productive Living Board) will be cut the following year. In the current climate, where funding is already scarce, we cannot afford to have the agencies that support our families and kiddos lose resources. Vicki has helped us to bridge that gap each year, particularly while I have been sick. Please contact Vicki Henak, Assistant Director – Family Support Services United Cerebral Palsy Heartland, 13975 Manchester Road, Manchester, MO 63011.
