In a typical school year, I sponsor three different competitive teams:

    • The Speech and Debate Team offers extensive competitive opportunities for students throughout the school year.  Clayton's team is affiliated with the Greater St. Louis Speech Association, the National Speech and Debate Association, the Missouri State High School Activities Association, and other organizations.  Our team is one of the largest and most successful speech & debate teams in the state and ranks highly nationally!
All information about this team can be found at www.claytonforensics.com.

    • The Mock Trial Team offers students the oppotunity to experience legal proceedings playing roles as witnesses or lawyers to argue the prosecution and defense of a fictional case provided by the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.  Clayton's team has taken 1st in State more than any other high school in Missouri!
All information about this team can be found at www.tinyurl.com/ClaytonMockTrial.

    • The Readers' Theatre Team offers students the opportunity to develop an unconventional play that explores a major social issue.  The cast works with literature and modern publications (news, Tweets, blogs, etc), performances are read, no costuming, sets, or props are used.  Clayton's Readers' Theatre team has qualified to state virtually every year for the past decade or so!
All information about this team can be found at http://claytonspeechanddebate.weebly.com/readers-theatre.html
Note that MSHSAA considers Readers' Theatre to be part of a "Speech & Debate" team.  Thus, on paper, Seiwell is the sponsor of this activity.  However, Mrs. Deana Tennill is actually the director or our Readers' Theatre program.

All three of these activities are part of the CLAYTON FORENSICS program.  Find more information at www.claytonforensics.com!
