    Semester 2

The Advanced Placement course in Human Geography introduces students to the study of patterns and processes that have shaped human understanding, the use, and the alteration of the Earth’s surfaces, as well as the methods and tools geographers use in their study of geography. We use and think about maps and spatial data sets in order to pose questions and solve problems. We also study how tastes, values, regulations, and economics all work together to influence culture. Finally, we take a look at the changing interconnections among places and how events in one place can influence those elsewhere. Students are encouraged to take the AP exam in May.
